FIRST MAKE & TAKE DEMO DAY OF 2010 IS ON
SATURDAY 27 FEBRUARY 10am – 4pm AT ST NICHOLAS CHURCH HALL ALLINGTON
EVERYONE WELCOME!
GOSH! Where did 2009 go?!
Many thanks for all the lovely cards and gifts that we received at The
Studio – Ollie was overwhelmed!
We spent Christmas and New Year in Bonnie Scotland – much
of it marooned in a lodge!! – I have seen enough snow to last me
all of 2010!!
We thought we had escaped by coming south, but no – it followed us!! – albeit
a couple of centimetres!
We are still all recovering from “THE SALE”! What a day! I must say, you behaved yourselves impeccably. No screaming, shouting, pushing or shoving – a very orderly affair.
In this Newsletter are details of events that we have arranged
throughout 2010.
First and foremost are our Weekend Extravaganzas at The Ashford International
Hotel. These are filling up fast – MARCH IS SOLD
OUT – all
we need is a £50 deposit to secure your place.
Usually the onsite shop that we set up is restricted to those attending
the weekends. In 2010 the format will change.
The onsite shop will be fully stocked and OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC. There will
be demonstrations of new products with all the latest papers and accessories
that are new to the market.

Our ever popular MAKE AND TAKE DEMO DAYS will be held at

bigger & better!!

St Nicholas Church Hall is easily accessible from the London Road (A20),
north-west of Maidstone. From the London Road, it is on the left, a short
distance up Poplar Grove before the junction with Ash Grove. Car Parking
is available next to the Church Hall, opposite Maple Avenue. From Maidstone
follow signs for A20 West Malling. After passing the Somerfield Hospital
(on left), carry straight on at the first set of traffic lights, turning
left at second set (opposite Tesco Express). From Aylesford / M20 (junction
5) follow signs for A20 Maidstone. After passing under the railway bridge,
turn right at the third set of traffic lights (opposite Tesco Express).
WE WILL HAVE A FULLY STOCKED SHOP AVAILABLE TO EVERYONE ON THESE DAYS WITH DEMOS OF NEW PRODUCTS AND MAKE & TAKES THROUGHOUT THE DAY – information will be sent out by email and by letter highlighting special offers and demo details prior to the event.
Last but by no means least we have arranged 1 DAY WORKSHOPS to be held at Langley Village Hall, Horseshoes Lane, Langley ME17 3JY. It’s less than 2 miles from The Maidstone Golf Centre where our shop used to be. Coming from Maidstone keep on the Sutton Road and turn left at The Crown and Horseshoes Pub into Horseshoes Lane, bear first left continuing on Horseshoes Lane and you’ll find Langley Village Hall on the left with ample car parking and level access.
The dates are all Sundays and the timings are 10am-4pm
on each day. We will have a fully stocked shop available to the public
on these days. Each of the workshops will have a different theme. You can
be assured that every day will be just as great as they have been in the
past. Places will be limited on these one day workshops – a £10.00
deposit will secure your place on any of the dates with the full balance
due 2 weeks prior to the workshop. The price of each workshop is £35.00.

Even though the format of The Card Studio has changed we still endeavour to maintain the same high quality of product and service that our customers expect from us.
We are always at the end of a phone or email if you have any questions you need answering and you will still be able to order anything you need by phone (01622 747002) or email (jayne.cardstudio@virgin.net or jim@thecardstudio.com). We accept credit/debit card payments over the phone. Make sure you have your loyalty card with you when placing an order so that points can be added. You will need to quote the long 17 digit number on the front of the card. The cards can be used at all our events this year. If you don’t have a card and would like one please let us know.
The website is being revamped at the moment. It will be
refined and updated during January but if there is anything you need and
cannot find, please ask and we can deliver to you – Jim has never
been so busy!!
We are teaching Ollie “Mush! Mush!” – so that he can
pull a sledge! Talking of Ollie – he was 1 year old on 30th November – almost
a teenager!
He is such a good dog and a wonderful addition to the family. Apparently
we were told he would make good breeding material – but we are keeping
that quiet from him at the moment – anyone for a Cockerpoodle?
So any questions – don’t hesitate to call us on 01622 747002 or email us on jayne@thecardstudio.com or jim@thecardstudio.com.

Magazine
We have taken the difficult decision to cease production of The Card Studio
Magazine. It has been well supported and we have had many generous comments
but unfortunately not enough subscriptions to meet the high print and
production costs. We thank you for your support.
Copies of each edition (1, 2 & 3) are still available.
Wishing you a great crafting 2010,
From us all at The Card Studio!
